I began to feel as if it was that time again for me to order more from thredUP as I was really starting to feel the spring and summer mood as of lately even though it's still around 20°F or below here in Minnesota. Because let's be honest, I do not want to get more cold weather clothes when I am so over all the snow and incredibly strong and cold winds that come through where I live. So I went to thredUp in mind that summer and spring clothes may be more inexpensive right now than in a few months. I also am traveling to Pennsylvania in June, so I was looking for some nice light pieces for that upcoming trip.

For this order, I got seven items for a total of what was originally of $54.92, but with a 15% off code, it brought it down to $47.58. That makes each item costing approximately $6.80 a piece. To me, this is an amazing deal for the items I got since each piece I got probably at least cost double or triple than the $6.80 a piece for their original retail value. Here is the list from my receipt that shows all the items I purchased for this order. As you see, I got quite a few items that have recognizable brand names that normally would be worth some money in store and as a college student, getting new and cute clothes at an extremely affordable price is so worth my time and money.

• Xhilaration Romper

The first piece I laid eyes on was this dark navy romper with pretty florals on it by the Target brand of Xhilaration. This was the piece that inspired me to buy new spring and summer clothes for my trip to Pennsylvania in June. Their claimed retail value of it was $24 and I received the item for $7.59 with the coupon code. ThredUP said the item condition was excellent and I do have to agree that it seems almost brand new. The romper came in a small and I was scared at first it wasn't going to fit, but after I adjusted the straps, it fit perfectly. Oh, and the best part... it has pockets!

• Charlotte Russe Dress

This was the second piece I saw and I don't know what about it, but it instantly dragged me in and I just had to have it. It reminded me a lot of a 50's housewife style dress, which I absolutely loved. I'm a huge sucker for decade pieces. Especially those that remind me of the 50's-70s as well as the 90's decades. The dress is a nice material and has a good stretch and form to it. The white of it is also pretty stark and doesn't look like it's been worn too much. ThredUP had said that the item's condition had minor wear to them and had a minor stain. I found the stain on the lower front end of the dress. It was a soft yellow stain and I've been working to get it out since I have gotten it. Their claimed retail value of the dress was $27 and I received the item for $5.95. Seeing the dress in person made me realize I would have never thought about the dress if I had seen it in store. This is one of the reasons I love thredUP as it makes me try new things I would never think to consider when in a store.

• Charming Charlie Dress

This is one of the pieces that I decided to throw in sort of last minute. I absolutely love all of Charming Charlie's clothing and I'm always down for more blue clothing as I feel like it really make my eyes pop more. ThredUP said the item was like new and in excellent condition, which upon inspection, I could not find anything wrong with it and it seems like it has never been worn. Their claimed value of the piece was $36 and I bought the piece for $8.50. I was not sure how much I liked it when I tried on the piece at first. I bought it in a small, so I was weary in how it would fit. Thankfully the waist had some major stretch to it which made it easier to get on. I felt like it had a bit extra of loose fabric on top and I was not exactly sure how to feel about it. It is also currently winter in Minnesota, so the static level is very high therefore the dress was clinging all around my legs which was uncomfortable. I believe I will love the piece more once it does not have major cling to it.

• Mossimo Supply Co. Denim Vest

Now this piece was my 'dare piece' I like to call it. Whenever I order from thredUP, I always try to get a piece that I do not currently own or try to get something that I would be weary about because I'm unsure if I could rock it. But oh my gosh, did I LOVE it! I wore this piece this past week with my Twenty One Pilots t-shirt that I recently thrifted from Goodwill, black leggings from Forever21 and my combat boots from DSW. I honestly felt so BA. ThredUp said the item

was in gently used condition with minor signs of wear with minor fading and minor fraying. However, I did not notice anything wrong with it. Even if it did have the minor signs of wear, it would make it have that more rustic jean look, which I do not mind. Their claimed value of the piece was $24 and I bought the piece for $5.10. What I like a lot about this piece is that it has pockets on the sides which are big enough to hold my phone and that it is a very versatile piece.

• Ambiance Apparel Shorts

This was the other piece that also sparked me to place another order through thredUP as it is an extremely bright and summery piece, which is perfect for my summer trip. Their claimed retail value for the shorts was $18 and I received the item for $5.10. ThredUP said the item was like new and in excellent condition, which upon inspection, I found one lose string, but obviously that can easily be fixed with no inconveniences to me. I was originally afraid that these shorts would be far too short based on the said inseam, however they were a bit longer than I anticipated. The brightness and longness of the shorts makes me even more excited to wear them once it gets warm out again with possibly a white top, so the shorts become the staple piece of the outfit.

• Mossimo Supply Co. Poncho

I was not so sure on this piece when I first saw it, but I really wanted to get into owning ponchos for dressing up a simple outfit a bit more. This white and gray one was the one I decided to go with. Their claimed retail value of the poncho was $24 and I received the item for $5.10. They also said that this item was in excellent condition and it had very little issues like the last item. It had various loose threads at the bottom with all the strings, but it is hard to see them in the mix of everything. Overall, I'm really happy and excited about this purchase. This poncho is super soft and large. From the one time I wore it, I kept cuddling into the poncho because let's be honest... it is just like if you were to wear a blanket all day long. This is one article of clothing that I'm hoping to find more off of thredUP in the future.

• Lily White Shorts

This was one of the last pieces I decided to add to my cart. I wanted more soft and loose fitting shorts after finding the Ambiance Apparel shorts that I purchased up above. So I decided to go on the opposite side of the spectrum and find a darker pair of shorts that I could wear with bright shirts. Their claimed retail value of the shorts was $12 and I received the item for $4.25. They also claimed this item to be in excellent condition and like new. Upon my initial viewing of the item... yes, it did seem brand new. However, when I tried it on I was going to retie the strings into a bow in the front of the shorts, I realized that the knot of the strings were hanging on by a few threads to the front of the shorts. So I'm going to need to find a sewing kit to sew the strings back onto the front of the shorts once again. With the flaws aside, these shorts are extremely comfy and I realized the magical feature of these shorts, which I'm sure you can guess what it is... yes, it is pockets.

Overall, I'm very impressed with my order this February. Out of the seven pieces, my favorite pieces was the white and blue floral Charming Charlies dress, the brightly colored shorts from Ambiance Apparel and the dark navy romper with a floral print from Target's brand Mossimo Supply Co. Im super excited to start wearing many of these pieces once the weather gets warmer. The two pieces I have been able to wear so far is the denim vest multiple times and the poncho once.

If you are debating about trying thredUP for the first time, then I say just go for it. I have been buying from thredUP since December of 2016 and there is not a single item that I have been overly upset over. I wear many of the pieces I have bought from thredUP at least once a week since my multiple purchases between 2016 and now. And even if you do not want to purchase anything from thredUP. Then I can safely say that it is just as fun to browse as it is to receive items from thredUP.

Have you shopped on thredUP before? What was your experience like? What is your favorite item you ever gotten from thredUp of another thrift store? Let me know in the comments below!
